Just Like It!

If you don't already know, we changed our Facebook contest requirements last weekend. You only have to 'Like' our Facebook preview album and you no longer need to 'Share' it in order to participate! This week, you will be able to double your chances when you 'Share' the album!

So why are we doing this? If you online shop long enough, you'll know that Like & Share contests are the fastest way for online stores to reach a wider audience. However, we've had some customers tell us that they want to participate in our contests but are struggling with keeping their Facebook wall clean and personal. They don't want their Facebook wall to be a running advertisement for a bunch of online stores!

As such, we've decided that your interests should come first and we won't exclude you from the contest if you don't share the album! Now, all you have to do is to 'Like' the album to participate! If you do 'Share' the album, you'll simply double your chances when we run our randomizer to select the winner! We hope you're happy with this change, because happy customers make our work worthwhile!

Bit by bit

Hurray! Another upgrade to our site just went live yesterday. If you haven't been to our site, go check it out! We now have a vibrant and fresh display for every individual item page! Our measurements are now nicely listed in a table, which will definitely help you when you are comparing the measurements between sizes! You will notice that if an item is only available in one size, it will clearly state there "One Size Only".

Another major change we want to highlight is our new zoom function! Previously, to view the large image, you would have to click on the picture and a lightbox pops out. Based on the feedback we gathered, customers did not like having the pop out box, and it wasn't very effective as you had to scroll up and down your window just to view the large image.

What you will notice with our new zoom function is that you can click zoom+ and zoom- to zoom in and out. You can also hover over the image and use your mouse scroll to zoom in and out. Definitely very convenient! You can also drag the image within the frame to view particular portions of an item. An example is shown below in which we zoomed in and dragged the image around to look at different parts of the dress.

We are in the midst of implementing a no questions asked, fuss-free returns and exchange policy, and your comments will definitely help us fine tune our policy!

Getting Personal: Going the Extra Mile

Happy Monday everyone! We don't really have Monday blues here at the Ellysage office, thanks to all the encouraging feedback that we constantly receive! From the bottom of our hearts, we'd like to thank our customers who have taken the time to leave us notes, fill up our feedback cards, or even drop us a simple thank you email. All your efforts are greatly appreciated!

A few months ago, we worked out a partnership with Space Invasion for our customers to collect their parcels from The Cathay. We have increased the frequency of parcel delivery to Space Invasion, and are aiming for all customers to be able to collect their parcel within 4-5 days from payment. Who knows, at this rate, you might some day be able to collect your parcel within a day from payment! Won't that be awesome? 

Also, when we began selling shoes on Ellysage, we knew that sizing would be an issue. As shoppers ourselves, we understand the disappointment and frustration of not being able to get something that fits. Hence, right from the start, we decided to allow sizing exchanges at Space Invasion. The response has been really positive, and we've received feedback that our exchange policy actually gave some customers the push to try out the yummy shoes that we stock in our store. 

Our next goal for Ellysage is to come up with a no questions asked returns policy. However, something we are struggling with at the moment, is the execution of such a returns/refunds policy. It would be of great help if you could take the time to fill up our survey so we can better understand your views on online shopping and the best returns/refunds policy to implement to our store! The most insightful feedback will receive $10 store credits from us :)
